There are 250+ individual music lessons every week at Feltonfleet, taught by our team of 15 visiting teachers.

Instrumental lessons are available to all pupils in Year 3 or above. One-to-one singing lessons are available for pupils in Year 1 or above.

Timetabling music lessons according to the below principles:

  • Lesson times rotate weekly to reduce the impact on classes and to keep timetabling as fair as possible. This policy is agreed when lessons begin.
  • Fixed weekly slots, during breaks or lunches, are booked at the discretion of the individual teacher and typically used to avoid other paid lessons, such as shooting, dance or learning support. A fixed lesson slot cannot be a condition of lessons being taken at school.
  • Encourage your child to check their weekly time. Should they forget, they will be collected, but this eats into lesson time. Timetables are displayed in the music department.
